Words of Wisdom – Reads for Sustaining Inner Peace

What would your day look like if you gave yourself an extra 15 minutes in the morning? 20 minutes?

Perhaps early mornings aren’t for you, for a long time they weren’t for me either. However, after two weeks of setting my alarm 15 minutes earlier, I completely shifted the way I approached my day. Did I ever hit the snooze button?  Absolutely.  But most days I dedicated those first 15 minutes to reading passages from the following attached literature. The result was a more positive outlook and a calmer mind.

The books selected and shared in this post are intended to help uplift the reader and provide simple practices for sustaining inner peace.

Carving out time for self-care and wellness is often a challenge and that’s why I chose these books in particular. These reads are not necessarily intended to be read in just one sitting.

I especially recommend Pema Chodron’s “When Things Fall Apart” and Thich Nhat Hanh’s “Peace is Every Step”. I often refer back to these two gems.

Please feel free to share any recommendations of your own or let me know if you give any of these books a chance. Are you up for the 15 minute challenge?
